Purchase Terms

Last updated

These terms govern direct card purchases: when you sell cards to Machete Cards. Each transaction is also confirmed individually in writing — by message or email — before money or cards move, and that confirmation controls the specifics of your sale.

Offers

Offers are based on the information and photos you provide plus in-hand verification of condition and authenticity. An offer is not binding on either side until both parties explicitly accept it, and either side may walk away before that without obligation.

Condition verification

Every purchase is subject to in-hand verification. If in-hand condition or authenticity differs materially from what was represented, we will tell you what we found and agree with you whether the transaction proceeds at an adjusted price or is cancelled. A cancelled mail-in transaction ends with your cards shipped back to you.

Payment

The payment method and timing are agreed with you in writing before any transaction completes, and payment is sent only after in-hand verification is done. Your confirmation message is the record of the agreed amount and method.

Title and ownership

You confirm that you own the cards you submit, that you have the right to sell them, and that they are free of any lien or claim. Ownership transfers to Machete Cards upon completed payment.

Mail-in transactions

For a mail-in sale, we provide packaging and shipping instructions before anything ships. Follow them — cards lost or damaged in transit to us are covered only to the extent the agreed shipping method's insurance covers them, and we can only evaluate what arrives. Once received, your cards are stored securely and are either paid for or returned under these terms.
