Consignment Terms

These terms describe how consignment works with Machete Cards. The specifics of any consignment — the cards, the fee, the sale window — are set in a written agreement signed before we take custody of anything, and that agreement controls.

The agreement

Every consignment is governed by a written agreement covering the specific cards, the fee structure, pricing authority, the sale window, and payout terms — agreed before we take custody of anything. Fees and minimums are quoted per consignment, in writing, before you commit; there is no fee you have not seen in advance.

Custody and condition record

Every consigned item is logged, photographed, and condition-documented at intake, and you receive that record. Consignor-owned inventory is tracked separately from company-owned inventory at all times, and title to your cards stays with you until they sell.

Pricing

Target prices, price floors, and who may approve changes are set in the agreement. We will not sell below an agreed floor without your written approval.

Sale window and returns

Cards that do not sell within the agreed window are returned to you under the terms of the agreement. You may also ask for unsold cards back before the window ends; the agreement states any handling cost that applies to an early recall.

Payouts

After a sale is complete and the payment has cleared, you receive the proceeds minus the agreed consignment fee, with an itemized accounting of the sale, fees, and any shipping costs. If a sale is refunded or charged back, the related payout is reversed on the same accounting.

Care of your cards

Consigned cards are stored securely and handled as carefully as our own inventory. The written agreement states the declared value we carry for each card and how loss or damage while in our custody is made good.
